Current ways to get cereal boxes
Official sources support two current routes:
- Find cereal boxes while searching trash piles.
- After every attribute is at maximum, buy a cereal box from Jenny for $10,000.
The purchase condition and price come from the August 22, 2026 official update. Older community material that lists $50,000 is outdated for that documented build.
The same update says cereal boxes were made more likely to appear. It does not publish the old rate, the new rate, or a guaranteed interval between boxes.
Why boxes matter
The Steam store confirms that a cereal box can contain a super-rare foil card. This makes boxes part of both the normal discovery loop and the separate foil collection goals.
Steam's public achievement list also includes Gacha Addiction, which is tied to 10 cereal boxes. The official evidence does not confirm that every box source advances every possible counter in exactly the same way, so use the achievement notification as the completion signal instead of assuming a hidden count.
A safe collection checklist
- Search each fresh trash pile before recycling its ordinary contents.
- Record each box you open and the foil cards you actually receive.
- Check the achievement notification rather than relying only on a personal count.
- After all attributes are maxed, Jenny's documented $10,000 purchase option becomes available.
- Keep a separate good save before testing any workaround for a missing count.

Missable-state and save caveat
The saved research does not prove that a purchased box is guaranteed to count for every cereal-box-related state. If your personal count and an achievement disagree, do not overwrite the only good save or spend progress to force a result.
Preserve progress first, note whether the box came from a trash pile or Jenny, and record whether an achievement notification appeared. Then consult the achievements reference or the save not working guide if other progress is also missing.
What remains unknown
Official sources do not provide cereal box drop rates, foil odds, a pity rule, or a guarantee that any single box contains a foil. This guide leaves those values unstated rather than turning player anecdotes into mechanics.
